The author of this blog is a 3rd year student of environmental engineering at North Carolina State University. As such, the thoughts, opinions, and observations depicted may at times be long-winded, overtly brief, unnecessarily technical, annoyingly simple, repetitive, esoteric, excessively punctuated, grammatically incorrect, oscillating in language (see the date at the top of this post for an example),or otherwise indecipherable. Also, the fact that it is being written from an iPad means that there will be many typos that may not be caught. Simply put, YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ IT, SO PLEASE DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT IT. I am writing this blog to help me remember my trip and at the special request of a few significant others. In summation, I hope you enjoy accompanying my journey, but if you do not find yourself deriving cultural enrichment or pleasure in any form as a result of the time you invest in reading this blog, you are more than welcome to close your eyes and leave the page. For us here on the other side of the world, we can almost feel like making the journey together with you, without really being there.
